About Mets on Deck

Mets On Deck is written by a father-son team.  And based on your contributions, and suggestions too!  Our original “about us” page (before the site melted) included “NY Mets blog created for New York Mets fans, written by fans of the New York Mets and read by Mets fans in NY, NJ, CT and everywhere major league baseball is loved.”

Awww, shucks.  That’s nice.  But truth also includes this little nugget tossed around at the last staff meting:

Born out of the “your comment is awaiting moderation” frustration at Mets Blog, Mets on Deck is written by Met fans, and baseball fans in general.  We sincerely hope to build a community of Met fans like us who wish to share their opinions and feelings about the team, about baseball, about the business of sports overall. Please join in the conversation!

We are avid readers of all the Mets-related blogs listed here on the site, and got tired of “awaiting moderation” over at Mets Blog.  We also added the page “Eh?” to explain what happened between our original site and the site you see today.
