According to Adam Rubin, Oliver Perez is up to his old tricks.
Again.
Two runs on two hits and a walk (oh those bases on balls!) in just over an inning of work in his fall season.
More importantly, what will Adam do without his source in the clubhouse?
If you have not read the interview re-posted on Mets Blog, I suggest you do. There is absolutely no chance Oliver Perez said any of that. In Spanish or in English. Unless it was a take-home test, there is no way OP could speak in such clear and concise terms. It appears (to me) to be re-written by a public relations team. So much appears to be lost in translation…like, “I refused to go to the minors because I am selfish.” Oh, and “because I hung around like a cancer, my team went down the toilet.” Where did those comments disappear?

Grrr, how can they make this problem go away?
Seems like we will need a phantom knee injury next spring. What a mistake.
I also do not believe he actually supplied those answers. They were too slick.
Umm, do you realize you cannot edit these comments?
I do like the snazzy captcha thingy, though. I can never read the other ones on other sitess.
We literally pay somebody to take this joke off of our roster. Either that or a “mysterious accident” will have to end his playing career. We can’t afford to waste a roster spot on this bum again next season.
Haha, I’ll drive the get-away car!
Who is Oliver Perez? What is he famous for?
Famous for pitching the last Game 7 we’ve been involved in (against the mighty Jeff Suppan!!), famous for walking the ballpark on a weekly basis, famous for not being a team player and accepting a trip to the minors…
Yeah. That guy…
